Question:
To ask the Minister of Education what action his Department has taken to implement the Fair Start Expert Panel report recommendation that the systemic inequality of academic selection be addressed as a priority.

Answer:

The “A Fair Start” Expert panel did not make a formal recommendation regarding academic selection. Its Terms of Reference required the panel to focus on “the wide range of issues on which consensus can be found”.
