Question:
To ask the Minister of Health what support he can provide to Sólás in South Belfast to ensure the continued provision of therapeutic counselling services.

Answer:

The Public Health Agency (PHA) currently have a contract with SOLAS to deliver the EMBRACE Home Support Programme to address information and practical support gaps experienced by parents of children with autism or disability.

This programme reduces isolation leading to improvements in mental health and wellbeing of families.

The PHA have advised that SOLAS do not provide therapeutic counselling services. A full range of services they do provide is listed on their website at https://www.solasbt7.com/education-programmes
