Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance for his assessment of the Northern Ireland allocation of the 2022 Public Courts Refurbishment Fund.

Answer:

The Executive did not receive a direct allocation for this Fund.

Instead, the Executive’s Spending Review 2021 settlement included Barnett consequentials on the additional allocation provided to Department for Culture, Media and Sport for this Fund.

The funding received was unhypothecated and formed part of the overall amount available in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 Budgets to be allocated in line with local priorities and needs.
