Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether he will continue to co-fund the active school travel programme for the 2024-25 academic year.

Answer:

I refer the member to my response to AQW 5456/22-27 of 15 February 2024. My officials continue to liaise with the Public Health Agency who co-fund the Active School Travel Programme with my Department and await the outcome of these discussions. Any decision on this programme in the next financial year will be subject to the availability of funding.
