To ask the Minister of Finance when she intends to place the Northern Ireland Fiscal Council on a statutory footing.

Answer:

I will be seeking agreement from the Executive in the coming weeks on a draft policy document to instruct the Office of the Legislative Counsel to begin the formal drafting process for a Fiscal Council Bill that will place the Council on a statutory footing.
