Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail (i) any research that has been commissioned into assessing the number of higher education students that could be eligible for the additional support for those facing financial hardship; and (ii) whether this funding will be sufficient to support all those eligible and in need.

Answer:

Additional student support funding of £1m was allocated following the receipt of updated forecast demand analysis undertaken by the higher education institutions. Demand will continue to be monitored.
