Question:
To ask the Minister of Health whether his Department’s No More Silos action plan was in line with recommendations contained in the Bengoa report.

Answer:

The No More Silos (NMS) Action Plan was published in October 2020 in response to the COVD-19 pandemic. The aim of the plan was to implement quickly some of the emerging findings from the then ongoing Urgent and Emergency Care Review, to ensure that urgent and emergency care services across primary and secondary care could be maintained and improved in an environment that was safe for patients and staff.

The NMS Action Plan was developed in a way that was consistent with the recommendations made in the Bengoa Report.
