Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy for his assessment of the impact of the Shared Skills Academy on the economy.

Answer:

Assured Skills academies have had a very positive impact on the local economy, providing industry focused training to individuals, equipping them with the skills required to compete for guaranteed job opportunities in growth sectors.

Since 2011 over 2,900 individuals have benefited from the programme, with over 2,500 individuals gaining full-time employment.
