Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether staff working in his Department who have disabilities, caring responsibilities or a long-term illness are permitted to work from home and to attend meetings remotely using online meeting platforms.

Answer:
In accordance with NICS HR policy, there are several flexible working arrangements available to all DfC employees, including those with disabilities, caring responsibilities, or a long-term illness, in appropriate circumstances.
If a staff member requires an adjustment due to a disability, they can make a reasonable adjustment application to their line manager.
All Northern Ireland Civil Service departments, including the Department for Communities, have access to software to support the conduct of remote meetings for all staff.
