Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities when he will lay regulations in the Assembly to extend hybrid working for councils using the Local Government (Meetings and Performance) Act (Northern Ireland) 2021 regulations.

Answer:

Regulations to provide councils with the flexibility to hold meetings by remote or hybrid means are being developed at pace. I am committed to keeping the gap in provision for remote and hybrid meetings to a minimum.

I will confirm the timeframe for laying the regulations in the Assembly with the Communities Committee as soon as possible.
