Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on refresher training for teachers in the design principles behind the curriculum, as recommended in A Fair Start.

Answer:

The Department commissioned the Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) to conduct a review and provide policy advice on the current state of play in Foundation Stage (FS) classes to determine the most appropriate support required for FS teachers and classroom assistants (CAs).

The report has been received and is currently being considered by departmental officials.
