Question:
To ask the Minister of Education, further to Bangor Central Integrated Primary School being granted planning permission for their new school site on 5 March 2024, how he will ensure the required capital investment is released to deliver the new school building.

Answer:

I have placed the 10 remaining former Fresh Start projects that are not yet in contract into my Department’s conventional major works programme to continue to advance in design and planning. The projects will proceed to construction when the design and planning stage is complete and affordable within the wider education budget context.

All of the projects have been submitted as capital bids for 2024-25 to the Department of Finance and I trust all Executive parties will support these bids for capital funding.
