Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities, following comments by the Speaker at the conclusion of Question Time on 12 March 2024, whether he will supply the information requested in AQW 6597/22-27.

Answer:

This issue is an operational matter for the Housing Executive.

I have sought the requested information from the Chief Executive, who has advised me as follows:

“The waiting list figures for North Down parliamentary constituency as at end December 2023 are:

Notes:

Applicant Information (all applicants / applicants in housing stress / FDA) is as at end December 2023.

Allocation information refers to the number of allocations in the preceding 12-month period.

FDA refers to Full Duty Applicants – these are applicants accepted as being homeless, to whom the Housing Executive owes a duty under the Homelessness legislation, Article 10(2) of the Housing (NI) Order, 1988 to “secure that accommodation becomes available for his/her occupation”.”
