Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister how they will ensure that ethnic monitoring of the workplace is part of fair employment regulations in place across the public sector workplace by the end of 2025.

Answer:

It is anticipated that the new Race Relations Order legislation will become the legislative vehicle for Ethnic Equality Monitoring (EEM) here.

It is worth noting that a level of voluntary workplace ethnicity monitoring already exists within the NICS. The introduction of the EEM Pilot scheme will strengthen and harmonise the collection of this data across the public sector.
