Question:
To ask the Minister of Health what plans he has to increase (i) the use of; and (ii) funding for, Acute Care at Home services.

Answer:

In March 2022, my Department published the Review of Urgent and

Emergency Care. Under the recommendations of the review, a Task and Finish group was established, through an Intermediate care sub-group to examine the current challenges regarding hospital at home services, particularly how to ensure consistency of approach and outcomes of a high performing model. The outworkings of this group are at the later stages and a final report will be submitted to the Chief Nursing Office, as lead sponsor.
