Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, following the provision of £1500 cost of living payment by the Minister for Communities to voluntary and community sector organisations, whether he will provide an equal cost of living support payment of £1500 to the voluntary and community sector organisations funded through his Department, such as the Rural Community Transport Partnerships and the urban community organisations.

Answer:

I have approved the provision of funding to community transport and shopmobility organisations for April and May 2024, subject to public expenditure processes and completed grant applications. This grant will be based on the overall level of funding provided in 2023/24 and will allow continuation of services until the incoming 2024/25 budget position is confirmed. I have no plans to provide a cost of living support payment at this time.
