Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities (i) when the Historical Environment Division last inspected Kircubbin Harbour; and (ii) when officers will review the state of this historic quay.

Answer:

(i) Kircubbin Harbour was last inspected by a Field Monument Warden of the Historic Environment Division in January 2024.

(ii) Each Field Monument Warden report is reviewed by curatorial staff within the Division. Condition and risk are scored and any changes to the overall condition score are logged and tracked. Reports over recent years have noted the deteriorating condition of the harbour and this has been brought to the attention of the owner.
