Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance what discussions she has had with the Executive Office concerning the implementation of ethnic monitoring in the Civil Service by the end of 2025.

Answer:

My officials are represented on an Executive Cross Departmental Working Group to progress implementation of Ethnic Equality Monitoring in the Civil Service.

Best practice in relation to ethnic monitoring will be incorporated into the design of the new technology solution under the Integr8 Programme.

In the interim, the Civil Service will continue to monitor and report on the composition of its workforce and applicant pools, including ethnic monitoring in accordance with Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
