Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities what plans are in place to provide financial support to Housing Associations to ensure future retrofitting and climate change targets can be met.

Answer:

My officials, with support from the Strategic Investment Board, have been engaging with the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations (NIFHA) in relation to options for future financial support for retrofit and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with climate change obligations on the pathway to Net Zero by 2050.

Potential future funding will be subject to the required business case processes and approvals and budget availability. My officials will continue to support NIFHA through the development of the necessary economic appraisals.
