Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether there is a mechanism for reporting poor quality roadwork repairs.

Answer:

Members of the public can report a pothole or other road defect at https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/services/report-pothole-or-other-surface-defect. The NI Direct call-centre also use the fault reporting system for submitting a fault on a customer’s behalf.

Over the past number of years the system has been enhanced to provide additional reporting services, such as customer acknowledgement emails and a fault tracking function, that are designed to improve the overall customer service.

The importance of a well maintained road network cannot be understated but this requires investment. I will continue to seek the support of Executive colleagues to enable this to happen.
