To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for his assessment of introducing traffic calming measures on Mill Road, Crumlin.

Answer:

At a recent Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council Policing and Community Safety Partnership meeting, held in Crumlin Integrated Primary School, my Department committed to undertaking a review of the traffic safety measures provided on the Mill Road in Crumlin. This review is ongoing.

One of the best ways to ensure the safety of our roads and fulfil our long term goal of eliminating death and serious injury on roads by 2050 is by changing driver behaviour. If all of us who are drivers do not change our attitudes towards speeding and careless driving, our death toll, which has increased in the past year, will continue to increase.
