Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure what consideration he has given to extending the permanent cycle path on Park Road, Belfast, to the junction with Ravenhill Road.

Answer:

My officials are currently considering options for segregated cycling facilities on the Ravenhill Road as part of the implementation of the Belfast Cycling Network Delivery Plan (BCN). Although the cycle lane Park Road cycle is not part of the BCN, an extension will be considered to connect to the Ravenhill Road scheme.

There are a number of schemes on the BCN short term list at various stages of development, including the Ravenhill Road scheme. We are keen to seek the views of the public in the coming months and local elected representatives will be notified of upcoming engagement events.
