Question:
To ask the Minister of Health what engagement his Department has had with counterparts in the other devolved nations and the Republic of Ireland in relation to the review of Minimum Standards for Childminding and Day Care.

Answer:

My officials regularly liaise with counterparts in England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland in relation to regulation of childcare provision. As part of the forthcoming review of the Minimum Standards, the position in each of these countries will be considered prior to recommendations for change being made.
