Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy what consideration he has given to scoping an uplift of the Educational Maintenance Allowance in line with inflation.

Answer:

A review of Further Education student support is currently being undertaken by the Department; this will include consideration of the Educational Maintenance Allowance. This work is expected to progress in the next business year, and I will consider options once they have been presented to me.
