Question:
To ask the Minister of Health how he plans to prioritise actions to be implemented from the Cancer Strategy.

Answer:

A Cancer Programme Board was established in November 2022 as part of the development of cancer programme governance structures to provide strategic oversight and decision making in relation to the implementation of Cancer Strategy actions.

Departmental Officials have been working closely with Cancer Programme Board members to ensure that funding allocated to date has been provided for the progression of identified strategy priorities.

Further prioritisation of any additional cancer strategy actions other that those being currently delivered will not be possible without further significant investment.
