Question:
To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to the recommendations of the Independent Review of Education, whether he intends to reform academic selection.

Answer:

My Department is currently considering all of the findings of the Independent Review of Education.

An internal consultation process is currently underway. It is anticipated that this process will culminate in a paper for my consideration by the end of April 2024.

I will then be in a position to consider options for implementation of all of the report’s recommendations.
