To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 7470/22-27 and AQW 8692/22-27, for an update on when this information will be available.

Answer:

The Education Authority has advised that following further investigation, full and robust statistics for the reasons for sickness absence are not currently available.

Actions to improve this position and the reporting functionality for absence reasons are due to be scoped for development and implementation. Once this work is completed a timeline will be available for provision of this information.
