Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for his assessment of the importance of agritourism to the overall economy.

Answer:

My assessment as Minister for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs is that agritourism is an area with the potential for growth in Northern Ireland. This can in turn support a more resilient primary agriculture sector by creating employment opportunities and additional household income for farm families whilst helping to keep many of the traditional family farming practices we are proud of in Northern Ireland alive.
