To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether he plans to appoint independent persons to undertake hearings and examinations to help address the current backlog faced by the Planning Appeals Commission.

Answer:

I recognise the resourcing challenges of the Planning Appeals Commission and it is my intention to discuss the appropriate resourcing of the Commission with the Minister of Justice.
