Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail the plans on how hospitals in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust plan to meet their requirements as set out in the Climate Change Act (Northern Ireland) 2022.

Answer:

The Climate Change Act (Northern Ireland) 2022 places duties on Departments. The Northern Health and Social Care Trust as an Arms- length body of the Department of Health is supporting the duties on the Department by participating in the regional Sustainability Action Group to take forward work on the Department of Health’s initial climate priority actions. The Trust has also set up a Trust led Sustainability Group.
