Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether he plans to progress a pedestrian path from Cairnshill park and ride to Alderwood Hill, Belfast, to provide parents and pupils at St Ita’s Primary School with a safe drop off point at the park and ride, increase active travel and alleviate parking on Alderwood Hill.

Answer:

The proposed pedestrian path between Cairnshill Park & Ride and St Ita’s Primary School is being delivered by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council.

To help facilitate this path, my Department is in the process of making alterations to the internal layout of the Park & Ride site and providing a gate in the existing fence.
