Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail (i) when she will recruit for the new role of Occupational Health Technician in the Occupational Health Service; (ii) the functions of this new role; and (iii) how many full time equivalent roles will be put out for recruitment.

Answer:

(i)It is anticipated that an Occupational Health Technician competition for the Occupational Health Service will be advertised on 6 May 2024.

(ii)The function of the role is to promote and support the activities of the Occupational Health Service. Fulfilling the functions of the role introduces opportunities to utilise the medical and nursing staff resource more efficiently.

(iii)It is anticipated that 2 full-time Occupational Health Technicians roles will be put out for recruitment.
