Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy, pursuant to AQW 7199/22-27, why the new Careers Portal is taking so long to be delivered.

Answer:

The development of a new Careers Portal is an ambitious and complex IT enabled system transformation project. Successful delivery will help every part of the careers system to work together and improve access to high quality careers information and services.

The project commenced with the allocation of resource to establish a project team in December 2023. The projected timescales are in line with industry best practice for a capital project of this complexity.
