Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the plans to (i) upgrade existing bus shelters; and (ii) install new bus shelters in the South Antrim constituency.

Answer:

Translink has submitted a business case to my Department to replace/refurbish existing bus shelters as well as installing a number of new bus shelters across the public transport network. However, my Department has been operating in a difficult financial environment for a number of years due to underfunding and austerity by the British Government. The value of our infrastructure cannot be overstated, and I will continue to work with Executive colleagues to ensure appropriate investment is made.
