Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for an update on his plans to improve air quality.

Answer:

My officials have been progressing work on Northern Ireland’s first Clean Air Strategy in the absence of an Executive.

Now that the Executive has returned, I will work with my officials and Ministerial colleagues to finalise this important cross-cutting strategy.

While I have yet to make my decision on the policies and actions to be included, once finalised, this Strategy will be central to improving air quality for all in Northern Ireland.
