To ask the Minister of Health what consideration he has given to providing guidance to businesses on the development of Stoma Friendly toilets.

Answer:

My Department has not issued any guidance to businesses on the development of Stoma Friendly toilets. I am aware that the Equality Commission has produced a range of publications covering disability issues in relation to facilities and provision of services. These are available on the Commission’s website or by contacting their enquiry line. The Equality Commission can also provide advice and training on anti-discrimination legislation and good equality practice.
