Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail (i) when his Department’s tourism strategy was scheduled to be published; and (ii) when it will be published.

Answer:

It is my intention to bring forward a Tourism Action Plan in response to my Department’s recent consultation.

At the Tourism NI conference on 23 April, I announced that to help take this work forward I will establish a Tourism Partnership Board made up of representatives from tourism and hospitality, Executive Departments, and local government. It will help develop and oversee an Action Plan that will be co-designed and co-delivered with the industry.
