Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister (i) to detail the engagement they have had with the Irish government in relation to their proposals for new legislation to enable asylum seekers to be sent back to the United Kingdom; and (ii) for their assessment of the impact this will have on Northern Ireland.

Answer:
Immigration policy is not devolved, rather it is an excepted matter falling to Home Office. The Executive Office does not therefore have any remit in respect of return agreements for asylum seekers.
