To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 9871/22-27, how many of the 203 schools that have expressed an interest in facilitating specialist provision classes are (i) primary schools; and (ii) post-primary schools.

Answer:

Pursuant to AQW 9871/22-27, of the 203 schools that had expressed an interest in facilitating specialist provision classes, 15 were nursery, 140 primary and 48 post-primary schools. Please note that this response refers to the data at that time. The survey issued to schools on 23 April 2024 is not due to close until noon on Friday 3 May 2024.
