Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister when they intend to update legislation concerning racial discrimination and racial equality.

Answer:

We are currently planning to bring the updated Race Relations legislation before the Assembly through the legislative programme in the 2025-2026 Session.

At present we are considering a report summarising the analysis of the responses and feedback from the consultation process. The report will inform the basis for any legislative changes and will move us a step closer to providing the best possible legal protection against racism.
