To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the proposals being considered to improve access to Queen's University playing fields, Upper Malone, to ensure improved pedestrian safety and discourage the use of Dub Lane for access.

Answer:

I can advise that access road to and from Queen’s University playing fields on the Upper Malone Road, opposite Bristow Park, is a private entrance, and the current arrangement would have been agreed through the planning process. As such any changes to the entrance would be a matter for Queen’s University to consider.

The Department has no proposals to change the current road layout at this location.
