Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister for an update on the implementation of the recommendations of the Truth Recovery Design Panel's report on Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses in Northern Ireland.

Answer:

Significant progress has been made on the implementation of the 5 key recommendations including establishing a Victim-Survivor Consultation Forum which has met on 29 occasions.

A non-statutory 10-person Independent Panel was appointed in April 2023 to take forward the first part of the investigation and PRONI has commenced cataloguing and digitising 4,500 institutional records.

In addition, to date a specialist and dedicated support service has assisted 300 people providing a critical element to support Victims and Survivors.
