Question:
To ask the Minister of Education (i) for an update on the progress of the site search commissioned in relation to the proposed Mid Down Integrated College; and (ii) when the site search report is expected to be received.

Answer:

Potential locations for Mid Down Integrated College are being considered along the main arterial route which extends from Carryduff to Crossgar. A site search report was received from Land and Property Services on 10 April 2024.

The Department is currently preparing the scope for the procurement of an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) to undertake feasibility studies on potential sites to identify if they would be suitable for the College’s long-term needs. The preferred site will be identified through the business case process.
