Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on the work of the Education Welfare Service transformation reference group.

Answer:

The Education Welfare Service (EWS) Transformation Reference Group provided the Education Authority with invaluable assistance and advice on the development of a revised model of EWS practice and the associated business case.

The Reference Group was stood down on completion of the project in November 2022. Consideration will be given to re-establishing the Reference Group to support implementation of the revised model following approval of the business case and resolution of NIPSA led EWS industrial action.
