Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs whether he plans to take forward Lucy’s Law as part of his legislative programme.

Answer:

I am determined to bring forward new animal welfare legislation, however, I am mindful of what can be achieved within the resources available to my Department and the time remaining in this mandate.

Nevertheless, I can confirm my desire to deliver ‘Lucy’s Law’ within the lifetime of this Assembly.
