Question:
To ask the Minister of Education when the review of the new funding scheme for youth work will be published.

Answer:

The Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) were commissioned to provide advice to the Department on the impact of the Education Authority’s (EA) funding scheme on addressing children and young people’s assessed needs.

As this advice was commissioned to inform policy development it was not designed to be released as a full report. That said it has been agreed that a summary of the findings and key messages will be provided to the youth sector. The final draft report has now been presented to the department and it is anticipated that the summary will issue in early June.

My officials will work with the EA and voluntary youth sector to address the findings and recommendations.
