Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance for an update on engagement she has had with HM Treasury in relation to the re-profiling of funds to support the Non-Teaching Staff Pay and Grading Review.

Answer:

My department has been awaiting confirmation of costs from the Department of Education to inform my engagement with the Treasury. The Education Minister has now written to me on 10 May 2024, to confirm the funding requirement in 2024-25 to implement the pay and grading review. Following the Education Minister’s request and confirmation of the amount to be re-profiled, I and my officials have engaged with Treasury including with the Chief Secretary on a call and formally in writing.
