Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy for an update on how much of the Enhanced Flood Support Scheme has been awarded to those affected by the flooding in 2023.

Answer:

The councils are administering the Enhanced Flood Support Scheme. As of the 10th June Newry, Mourne and Down District Council has advised the Department they have issued letters of offer to 29 businesses to the value of £1.7m. Funding has been transferred from the Department to the council. Payments will be made to businesses once they have submitted a signed letter of offer along with any required documentation. Council have advised they have begun making payments to eligible businesses.
