Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for his assessment of staffing levels of Special Educational Needs Link Officers in the Education Authority.

Answer:

The Education Authority has increased the number of Special Educational Needs Link Officers from 21 to 36 since April 2021. In addition, they are currently in the process of recruiting an additional 14 Link Officers, bringing the total to 50 across the service.

It is anticipated that this additional recruitment will be completed in the autumn term.
