Question:
To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to AQW 10559/22-27, whether the 89 children receiving contingency educational support in September 2023 were recorded by the Department as having been allocated a school place.

Answer:

The department does not hold information on the allocation of school places as this is an operational function for the Education Authority. The department undertakes the annual school census which records pupils who are on the school register and attending each school on the Friday of the first full week in October.
